a tip for dealing with photos backlog

Many of us deal with huge backlogs of photos cluttering our hard drives and phones. I, for one, have 5775 photos backed up, and 2888 of those are photos of the cats in our family.

Now, I use Ente.io to back up my photos on my phone and the rest of my photo archive. Once a month, I do a backup to two USB sticks for safekeeping. I deleted a lot of blurred and unnecessary photos when I migrated to Ente, but I still have a lot of work to do.

Since I would rather not spend a ton of hours doing this, I've found the best way to do it is daily. It may seem counterintuitive, but I take advantage of the "On this day..." feature of Ente (and I know other apps have it as well) to delete any photos I would rather not clutter up my precious storage place. Plus, I get to revisit some memories I may otherwise not see,

PS: Here's the cat tax. This is Haruki, my cat, and Saramago and Caramelo (my parents' cats). And here's a group photo from Christmas.
