weekend schmooze 003
I spent a few days at my parent's place over the holidays, and it ended up being a slower week than expected. When I go back to my hometown, I always default to my teenage years, especially at home, so I end up spending most of my days playing video gamesβI played a lot of Football Manager 2024β, watching TV and talking to my parents by the fireplace.
Overall, I would say I treasure these little moments. Even though I speak with my parents every day, I don't visit them as much as I could. I want to see them at least once per month. Sounds like a solid New Year's resolution to me!
Now, let's grab a (small) cup of tea and quickly go through what I've done the past week.
π Reading
Kept on plowing through my Wallabag list. Down to 115!
Read "The Naked Tree" by Keum Suk Gendry-Kim. It's an interesting graphic novel, but the Portuguese edition was awful. I'm 99% sure that the there was no proofreader involved, as I found misspellings and errors on half of the pages.
π§ Listening
πΊ Watching
Kept on watching Season 2 of Midnight Diner. Still great!
Watched a bunch of documentaries while playing Football Manager, like Playing with FIRE: The Documentary, Citizenfour, Food, Inc. and Food, Inc. 2 and Poisoned. I also saw Ricky Gervais: SuperNature.
π² Wandrering
- No Wandrering or cycling this week, but I need to get back on the saddle (pun intended) to burn off all food and sweets consumed in the last few days. I think we won't have to buy any chocolate before April.
π Linkipedia
- Despite loving Meadow's Mire and James' Artemis, I ended up not reading any feeds this week, so expect a bunch of links next week!
