weekend schmooze 011
I'm writing this on Monday, as the past few days have been a little crazy. On Friday, my father accidentally did his best impression of a Ru Paul's style death drop and tore his quadriceps femoris muscle (try saying that three times). Other than the pain, he's feeling fine, and today we'll know if he's going to need a surgery. After the initial scare, we even managed to crack some jokes about it, which is always nice. On Saturday, I had to take everything out of his semitruck, do some shopping for my parents and I had to work on Sunday, hence the "late" schmooze. Never say that being a truck driver isn't a dangerous job!
Other than that, it was a slow week that began with a small earthquake. I mainly stayed away from my RSS feeds and newsletters, hence the lack of links at the bottom.
📚 Reading
- Read Cinco mil quilómetros por segundo.
- I'm two thirds in on the last volume of Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan Novels.
📺 Watching
- Only watched Detroiters at lunchtime. The next episode is 2x06.
🚲 Wandrering
- Not much cycling again this week, as my right wrist has been sore, and I don't want to make it worse by riding on Lisbon's infamous cobble-paved roads. Next week™.
🔗 Linkipedia
- My Life in Weeks by Gina Trapani. A map of Gina's life, where each week she's been alive is a little box. Bookmarked to check out for occasional updates!
