weekend schmooze 013
Another week has gone by without me really noticing it. I feel like I've been on autopilot for the last few weeks, and I wouldn't remember anything I've done if it weren't for these schmoozes.
My dad will undergo surgery today (Monday) to fix a quadriceps tendon tear (and some more torn tendons and muscles). I'm still going back to Santarém at least once a week, which has been surprisingly conforming. I love travelling by train!
My Kobo Clara HD's screen died just before turning five years old. It got me through the pandemic, and I read over 180 books on it, so it's safe to say it was a superb investment. It has been replaced with a Kobo Clara BW. I spent Sunday afternoon setting it up to my liking: transferring over 800 books and installing KOReader and Plato.
📚 Reading
- Finished The Book of George.
📺 Watching
- I'm now on episode 1x06 of Dexter: Original Sin. It's been great, even though they still haven't played INXS's "Original Sin", one of my favourite songs.
- We watched Bridget Jones's Baby (2016) on Tuesday, had I had never seen it before. It was fun!
🚲 Wandrering
- Same old, same old. No new kilometers discovered, only ran a few errands. I can't remember the last time I rode my bike just for the sake of it, and it's hard to get back to the saddle when it's been raining for a week. It will continue to do so at least for this week.

I don't want to go three weeks in a row without sharing some of the things I've been reading and enjoying, so here's a short selection from the few things I've been managing to read!

- Too Many Hobbies, and Not Enough Time by Brandon
