weekend schmooze 014
Highlight of the week: my dad's surgery went great, and he only spent one night at the hospital. He's still in a great mood and my mom is doing an amazing job at helping him out. I've also been back home every week, which has been wonderful. I naturally default to a tranquil mood when I'm there, so it's been helping me slow down as well. One of the side effects of this has been a certain disconnect from the Internet, which to be honest has felt good.
The only thing which has been shitty is the weather. It's been raining for three weeks(?) straight, and it will continue for at least one more week! At least the new season of Formula 1 started of with a banger (literally) in Australia.
Also, I have so many things I want to write about other than these "weekend" schmoozes. I'm committing to spend at least five minutes per day writing this week!
📚 Reading
- Started and really enjoying Mickey7 by Edward Ashton. I'll finish reading it before seeing the adaptation.
📺 Watching
- Finished Dexter: Original Sin and I'm just so glad they didn't fumble the last episode after what happened with Dexter and Dexter: New Blood. It made me want to rewatch Dexter, but I think I'll wait to see if they confirm S2 before.
- Watched some episodes of I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson. Not bad, but not great, I guess.
🚲 Wandrering
- Wandrering? In this economy and shitty weather? (just the errands, as per usual lately)

- I write in English, but I’d rather not by Vongiorno. I really related to this, as I would prefer to write in Portuguese, even though I write in English and also read blogs written in Spanish. Some food for my thought. And, according to Wikipedia, speaking Portuguese and Spanish theoretically allows me so speak with more than 825 million people. And that's not even considering English speakers... Think about that for a second.
